EDI welcomes three new initiatives

Two new institutes officially joined the Division of Equity Diversity & Inclusion at the beginning of 2020: The Disability Innovation Institute and The Institute for Global Development. We also welcomed the Women in Research Network into the Division.

Each institution actively works to strengthen UNSW’s inclusive culture and find solutions to increase equitable outcomes for people from all backgrounds. Women in Research Network advocates for gender-equity in university research culture - providing support, advocacy and a community for research-active women. The Disability Innovation Institute conducts research in partnership with people with disability, across all disciplines, delivering excellent benefits in disability knowledge, policy and practice. The Institute for Global Development works in partnership with UNSW, community, national and international stakeholders to ensure social justice and sustainability are embedded within UNSW’s research and education activities and to work with communities towards their sustainable goals.
