PhD student Sandersan Onie appears on ABC Radio’s "The Science Show" to discuss mental health in Indonesia

UNSW Psychology PhD student Sandersan Onie appeared on ABC Radio’s “The Science Show” with Robyn Williams to discuss his ongoing initiative to foster science-based psychological understanding and intervention within his home country of Indonesia. He discussed the state of mental health in Indonesia and cultural barriers that present particular challenges.
Sandersan was invited to present on the show based on his compelling talk at the Faculty of Science 1-Minute Thesis competition. He conducts research on the role of cognitive and attentional biases in emotional disorders in the School of Psychology’s “Motivated Attention & Perception Lab” (supervised by Dr Steve Most).
