Dr Thomas Britz delivered a talk at the TEDxUNSW 2018 Conference on Saturday 22 September in UNSW's Leighton Hall.
Dr Britz' fascinating talk traversed the emotions and beauty of mathematics. He shared his love for mathematics and how he uses it to describe the emotions around us, including depression, empathy, and love.
The full-day event featured talks from eleven speakers. TEDxUNSW is a student-run organisation at UNSW, which aims to create an interactive platform of ‘ideas worth spreading’ while cultivating a community of people who are willing to share ideas, teach one another and work together across different disciplines.
This year's theme was "Turn the Page", which referenced the event's aim to offer new perspectives on old ideas.
