Director of Urban Design, New York City visits UNSW Built Environment

The Director of Urban Design for the New York City Department of Planning, Alexandros Washburn, visited BE to present an overview of his forthcoming book. Titled ‘The Nature of Urban Design’, the book is described as a redefinition of urban design principles and practices for the 21st century within the context of rapid urbanization and accelerated climate change.
In addition to the presentation Alexandros also met with Masters of Urban Design and Development students, discussing their recent Design Studio and viewing samples of their work.
