Shofia's doctoral dissertation underscores the significance of preserving the memories of unrecognised historical places in Indonesia, which frequently face challenges due to rapid development and commercialization, often resulting in the erasure of history. She explores 3D technology as an alternative approach to address these challenges by proposing a participatory platform with the potential to generate interest among people in learning the history of their own neighborhoods and contributing to the collection of historical data, encompassing both spatial and non-spatial information.
