Shaye Easton is a writer and researcher with an interest in narratology and postmodern fiction. In 2022 she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons 1) with a major in English and a minor in Creative Writing. Her honours thesis was on the relationally between narrative temporality and the desert environs of 20th century Californian fiction, for which she drew upon recent work in ecocriticism to rethink the way we read environment in literature. For her PhD she is researching transgressive literary objects in postmodern fiction, work she hopes will add to and alter scholarship on metalepsis, mise en abyme, the role of the reader, metafiction and postmodern literature, as well as narrative theory more broadly.
