Roxanne Llamzon
About
Prior to pursuing her PhD at UNSW, Roxanne was the Operations Manager of the Technology Transfer and Business Development Office of the University of the Philippines Manila. Previously, she was Operations Officer of the National Telehealth Center, where she worked for over six years with a multidisciplinary research team of health professionals, engineers, programmers, and social scientists to design, develop, and deploy digital solutions to improve access to health care in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas in the Philippines.
Roxanne also served as consultant for the Philippines Department of Health to conduct information technology process maturity level assessment using the COBIT 5 in support of the Philippine Health Information Exchange. She is certified in the foundation and implementation of COBIT 5, an internationally recognized framework for governance and management of enterprise information and related technologies developed by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
She has a master’s degree in Technology Management from the Technology Management Center of the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the College of Engineering of the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
Roxanne is jointly supported by UNSW and the Deakin University – Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute for her PhD.
Research interests
Roxanne’s research interest remains in the role of information and communications technology for development and improving the quality of life, especially in developing countries. Her research will center on digital health innovations.
