I am a PhD candidate in microbial ecology with a background in microbiology. I have been fascinated by tiny organisms since the first time I looked down a microscope and am constantly amazed by the immense diversity of the microbial world. My research seeks to better understand how the macrobial world depends on functions performed by microorganisms.

Project description: My project tests the effects of multiple interacting stressors on microbial composition and functions in freshwater ecosystems. I hope to improve our understanding of how and when microbial assemblages are resistant, sensitive, or resilient to environmental changes.
