Mohamed Hanafy Kotb Ibrahim

Mohamed earned his bachelor's degree in actuarial science with first-class honours from Assiut University, Egypt, where he now serves as a teaching assistant in the Faculty of Commerce, Statistics Department. Currently, he is on study leave pursuing a PhD at UNSW in the Department of Risk and Actuarial Studies. He previously completed a master's degree in Actuarial Science at Zhejiang Gongshang University, also graduating with first-class honours, followed by a Master of Pre-Doctoral Business Studies at UNSW. In recognition of his academic excellence, he was named to the UNSW Business School Dean’s List in 2023. His research interests include general insurance pricing, aggregate claims analysis, and the application of machine learning in actuarial science.
