Lisa Ryan
Bachelor of Commerce (Real Estate Studies and Finance)
When Lisa finished Year 12, she knew she wanted to work in real estate. But as a 17-year-old with no real work experience, she didn't know which area of real estate to work in.
Lisa didn't want to lock herself into a career path. She chose to study a Bachelor of Commerce due to the flexibility - the program provides an understanding of business fundamentals as well as specialised real estate concepts.
As a real estate student, Lisa gained essential industry knowledge including valuation, real estate economics, real estate finance and land law. She gained real-world experience through the Business School's Career Accelerator program, with an internship at Stockland.
Lisa also learnt about the real estate industry through the UNSW Real Estate Society. Through the Society, she met other students who shared her interest in real estate and found a cadetship with EY Real Estate Advisory.
Since graduation, Lisa has continued to work in the Real Estate Advisory Team at EY, where every day she draws upon skills and concepts from her degree and industry experiences.
