Flawed Lovers
The lengths we go through to be accepted by others can be a harmful and painful process. We tend to focus on such concepts that we lose sight of our true selves. This artwork represents acceptance and understanding of one's flaws. The peacock feathers within this piece were designed to symbolise both beauty and harm. The eyes represent the judgement of others while the injury from the quills expresses the harmful effects of social pressures. This artwork also represents my own acceptance of my personal and creative flaws. Thus it created the idea of perfectionism which for too long I felt has held me back, suppressing my creative abilities. This piece is my testament to being freed from it.
