Proteins are nature's nanomachines
Project ID: 39
Supervisor(s): Paul Curmi, opens in a new window
Proteins are nature's nanomachines. Our research involves determining how proteins operate as machines using the tools of modern physics. Our key questions include: How do protein motors work; Does quantum mechanics play a non-trivial role in biology; How do proteins switch between stable structures; and How does a protein know where it is in a cell?
