The Trevor Gerber SYD100 Scholarship

The Trevor Gerber SYD100 Scholarship is a prestigious program dedicated to supporting educationally disadvantaged students at the UNSW School of Aviation. Established in 2020 to commemorate the airport’s centenary and to honour former Chair Trevor Gerber, this scholarship reflects Sydney Airport's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the aviation industry.
Each year, one full scholarship is awarded, providing $25,000 per annum towards residential fees and full tuition coverage for four years. The SYD100 Scholarship is designed to empower students from under-represented groups, including those from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, women, and Indigenous students, ensuring they have the opportunity to pursue their academic and career aspirations in aviation.

"Thanks to the SYD100 scholarship, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work in the operations team at Sydney Airport. This has not only deepened my understanding of the challenges in the aviation sector but has also allowed me to connect with and learn from industry professionals from diverse backgrounds. On a personal level, this scholarship has provided me with opportunities and experiences that have further fuelled my passion to make a meaningful contribution to the aviation industry"
