The School of Clinical Medicine wishes to congratulate members of our conjoint community who have been acknowledged in the Australia Day Honours List 2024 in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions across a broad range of fields.
Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO)
Professor Sally Dunwoodie, School of Clinical Medicine. For distinguished service to medical research as an embryologist and geneticist, particularly in the field of foetal and neonatal heart disease.
Conjoint Associate Professor Sally McCarthy, School of Clinical Medicine. For distinguished service to emergency medicine, and to professional associations through leadership roles.
Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM)
Conjoint Professor Jacqueline Close, School of Clinical Medicine. For significant service to medical research, and to medicine as an orthogeriatrician.
Conjoint Professor Steven Faux, School of Clinical Medicine. For significant service to rehabilitation medicine, and to medical research.
Conjoint Associate Professor Graham John Gumley, School of Clinical Medicine. For significant service to medicine in the field of orthopaedics.
