Procurement is the end-to-end process of buying goods and services from external sources. It begins with defining purchasing requirements and seeks the best value from the market considering a range of elements that include price, lifecycle costs, logistics, quality, performance, time, risk, compliance, fairness, and sustainability and relationship management.
Increasingly, businesses are realising that strengthening procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management is critical to their success. An effective procurement process can improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, drive down costs, mitigate risk, and enhance supplier collaboration and engagement.
The Graduate Certificate in Procurement is designed for postgraduate scholars and professional public sector strategic procurement managers with appropriate undergraduate qualifications in procurement or a related discipline and/or extensive relevant professional experience.
