Overview
The workshop explores the operating environment through the development of simple and detailed scenarios that allow participants the confidence to influence change. Participants can explore the most profitable and suitable options available to their organisations and become comfortable with uncertainty and residual risk. The workshop covers the logic behind building evidence-based business cases. The workshop also facilitates participants in creating an action plan to apply their strategic objectives.
No prior knowledge is assumed.
What you will receive
- UNSW Canberra certificate of completion/attendance
- Masters credit: UNSW Canberra allows students who have successfully completed a minimum of 12 days of approved professional education courses to use those courses as credit in eligible postgraduate programs.
Who should attend
New directors, senior executives, and managers from private, government and not-for-profit organisations who are looking to improve their individual strategic decision-making ability and their organisational success through evidence-based strategic decisions.

Presenters
Dr Leon Young is known for supporting the strategic decision-making process through evidence-based risk analysis and quantitative analysis. He has 25 years of experience in Government and inter-departmental operations.
Leon excels at modelling complex problems and facilitating stakeholder engagement. His work on strategic thinking models, cognitive engineering and creative thinking has been operationalised in both the government and private sectors

Cancellation policy
Courses will be held subject to sufficient registrations. UNSW Canberra reserves the right to cancel a course up to five working days prior to commencement of the course. If a course is cancelled, you will have the opportunity to transfer your registration or be issued a full refund. If registrant cancels within 10 days of course commencement, a 50% registration fee will apply. UNSW Canberra is a registered ACT provider under ESOS Act 2000-CRICOS provider Code 00098G.
