Decision Support and Analytics Research Group
A proper marriage between AI’s intelligence quotient and human’s emotional quotient to harness technological advancements.
Optimisation often brings diversified contexts under one umbrella. Despite the opulence of existing optimisation approaches, integrating proper methods with real-life applications is still a challenging and onerous task.
The Decision Support and Analytics Research Group (DSARG) is working on techniques like diversified domains, including creating different artificial intelligence (AI)- assisted decision support systems (DSSs) to enable Australian businesses to stay competitive, reduce costs and improve productivity, ultimately contributing to the country's economic growth and sustainability.
As industries work to become more sustainable, we've expanded our research to incorporate different aspects of sustainability, like the minimisation of our carbon footprint, transportation, energy and waste usage.
The team has explored various technology decision-making approaches by integrating methodologies related to AI and evolutionary algorithms, such as swarm intelligence and nature-inspired meta-heuristic approaches, and information systems for example, influence maximisation. Throughout this process, we've unveiled a unique dimension in the decision-making or technology-enabled decision-making literature. This research group has five key research priority areas:
