Stuart Bennington
Stuart Bennington has been the Curator Official Records at the Australian War Memorial since 2012. In his role, he is responsible for the archival management of the records of Australian forces in war, non-warlike and certain peacetime operations. Over the past 30 years, he has been working in a variety of archival, records and information management roles across all three levels of government.
He holds a Degree in History from Murdoch University and a Masters in Information Management from Curtin University. He is currently a PhD candidate with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. His research focuses on the evolution of Australian War Diaries over the twentieth century and the role they have played in the understanding of the Australian experience of war, and to the Australian Army as a learning institution.
