Professional education
Applied history for professionals
A variety of professional education options are available through the War Studies Group.
Over the past twelve months we have worked to deliver professional education to a range of Defence and industry partners, including Headquarters, Joint Operations Command and the Australian Defence College. The War Studies Research Group also delivers short educational packages to the entire student body of the Australian Defence Force Academy as part of their Joint Military Education and Training (JMET) program. Taken together these options have both provided topical, timely and relevant briefs to headquarters and units and provided foundational knowledge for practitioners.
The format has ranged from short lectures to longer programs of applied military history.
WSG can also tailor packages to suit organisational needs, drawing from a broad base of expertise in Australian military history, war studies and strategic studies.
