UNSW Precinct Discussion Paper

The Randwick Education and Health Specialised Centre Discussion Paper – ‘Precinct pertaining UNSW, POW & Randwick Racecourse’ is on public exhibition until 3rd December.

The Discussion Paper explores planning issues that affect the Randwick Education and Health Specialised Centre including employment growth, floor space demands, health and education trends housing needs, transport, sustainability and the public domain.

It suggests a land use planning and urban design framework for the long term growth and development of the Centre including:

- a vision and broad strategies for its future
- design and planning principles for key locations or ‘investigation areas’
- potential planning controls that could be included in the Comprehensive Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan
- a public domain strategy
