On the 18th of October 2023 a research to practice forum was organised by the UNSW School of Population Health, SESLHD Health Equity Promotion and Prevention Service, opens in a new window, the Lebanese Muslim Association, opens in a new window, and UNSW Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity, opens in a new window.
The Forum brought together more than 90 people from community organisations, services, universities and government to discuss the challenges and ways forward to address shisha use and vaping.
The forum was part of the Shisha No Thanks!, opens in a new window program that has been running since 2017, which is supported by the Cancer Institute NSW, opens in a new window.
