  • Funded by the Thyne Reid Foundation, the Andrew Thyne Reid Scholarship aims to support students undertaking the AGSM MBA program who work in the not-for-profit sector.

    Selection process and how to apply

    Interested candidates are required to submit an application online through UNSW Scholarships portal.

    Selection criteria

    Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic Merit
    • Leadership skills (workplace, or community)

    Value and funding

    $25,000 to assist with tuition fees.

    These decisions are made at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Eligibility

    This scholarship is open to Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents and New Zealand Citizens who receive an offer of admission to the AGSM (Executive) or AGSM MBAX program, and are working in the not-for-profit sector, preferably the charitable sector.

  • The Centre for Social Impact (CSI) offers scholarships to AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) students who can demonstrate ongoing commitment, engagement and leadership in supporting, developing and contributing to better social outcomes in business, public and/or social purpose sectors, and the capacity to apply their studies to further the strategic development of the social purpose sector.

    Selection process and how to apply

    Interested candidates are required to submit an application online through the Centre for Social Impact Scholarships website to be considered for this scholarship.

    Value and funding

    Up to three scholarships will be awarded each year. The following scholarships are available:

    • One CSI AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) Scholarship will be awarded to the value of $25,000 to assist with tuition fees
    • Two CSI AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) Scholarships will be awarded to the value of $12,500 to assist with tuition fees

    These decisions are made at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Eligibility

    Three scholarships are open to all domestic students which includes Australian or New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents who are currently enrolled or enrolling in the MBA (Social Impact) at UNSW.

  • The AGSM Alumni Community Leader Scholarship is open to eligible candidates applying for either the AGSM MBA (Executive) or the AGSM MBAX program and will cover the full tuition fees for the program, including Executive Year residential costs.

    Selection process and how to apply

    The AGSM Alumni Community Leader Scholarship is open to talented emerging leaders and managers currently working in the not-for-profit sector who can demonstrate a history of academic or work achievement and strong community connectivity in their scholarship application.

    Candidates will need to apply for this scholarship via the UNSW scholarships portal.

    Selection criteria

    This scholarship is for candidates in the not-for-profit sector located in Australia. Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic merit
    • Demonstrated commitment and evidence of long-term contribution to supporting disadvantaged individuals and/or communities
    • Demonstrated management or leadership qualities
    • Reasons for undertaking the proposed course of study
    • Potential to contribute to the AGSM MBA program and the UNSW Business School community

    Value and funding

    The scholarship covers all tuition fees costs, plus residential costs associated with the AGSM MBA (Executive) and MBAX programs.

    The successful applicant will be decided at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Eligibility

    This scholarship is open to all applicants who receive an offer of admission to the AGSM (Executive) or AGSM MBAX program. Applicants must be Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents of Australia or New Zealand Citizens.

    Applicants must not be a recipient of any other funding, or any other form of financial support connected with study, from their organisation or another company.

    Strong consideration will be given to applicants who are employed by a recognised not-for-profit community-based organisation, which provides services to disadvantaged individuals and/or communities.
