We offer a diverse range of scholarships to domestic and international students at all levels.

These scholarships and awards reflect our strong commitment to helping students achieve their potential. They reward academic excellence and encourage international mobility, diversity, and equity whilst supporting students who might otherwise struggle financially to maintain a place at university.  

Undergraduate scholarships & awards

We're dedicated to supporting you throughout your time at university and offer a variety of scholarships for domestic undergraduate students. 

UNSW offers a wide range of Equity Scholarships to assist commencing and current students to undertake full-time study.  Equity Scholarships are awarded to students from low socio-economic backgrounds to increase access to study opportunities for students who have experienced financial hardship and educational disadvantage.

The Scientia Scholars program offers a flexible and rewarding education for students undertaking full-time undergraduate study at UNSW. Benefits include an annual stipend, access to academic mentors, invitations to a range of special events, and the opportunity to be considered for research assistant positions within their chosen faculty.  

The UNSW Scientia Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving students who achieve an ATAR score (or equivalent) of 99.90 or above in an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate.

Academic Achievement Awards are granted to encourage academically gifted local Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent students from the ACT and NSW high schools to undertake undergraduate study at UNSW.

UNSW Canberra offers scholarships to high-achieving undergraduate students who pursue an Honours program in Arts, Business, Computing and Cyber Security, and Science.

Current undergraduate students are also eligible to apply for the Summer Undergraduate Research Scholarship. This program gives students the opportunity to undertake a short research project with leading researchers. Participants will develop their research skills, learn how to present research results, and gain an insight into what further research study at UNSW Canberra could look like.

Postgraduate research scholarships

At UNSW Canberra we’re committed to supporting upcoming researchers take the next step in their career.

We offer a range of postgraduate research scholarships for domestic and international students with exceptional potential to undertake a higher degree by research. 

This includes generous stipend scholarships of up to $35,000 per annum (flat rate) to successful candidates.

The Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC) is a public, not-for-profit company focused on delivering research with impact and solving real-world cybersecurity problems with innovative, industry-driven solutions. The Cyber Security CRC scholarship aims to inspire the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through working with some of the best cybersecurity researchers in Australia.   

Successful candidates will be awarded a CSCRC graduate research scholarship or postdoctoral research fellowship.
