The Poverty and Inequality Partnership between ACOSS and UNSW casts a light on the widening wealth gap and its causes in a new report, Inequality in Australia 2024: Who is affected and how. The report found that the average household wealth of Australia’s highest 10% is growing much faster than the lowest 60%.

Urban Climate Masterclass

Best practice approaches to urban heat mitigation and delivering net zero. In the lead-up to the International Conference on Urban Climate 11, 2023, a 3-day Urban Climate Masterclass will be presented in-person and online at UNSW Sydney. Jointly hosted by the International Universities Climate Alliance and UNSW School of Built Environment, the program will explore the latest research findings, best practice approaches, and technologies for managing urban heat mitigation and delivering net zero built environments.

Australian Circular Economy Forum

Circular Economy 2030 - Developing a roadmap for collaborative action, will be hosted at the UNSW Roundhouse on Monday 26 June. The forum is a collaboration between Circular Australia, Impact X and UNSW Sydney and is supported by the International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA). The event features Federal Minister for the Environment and Water, Tanya Plibersek, IUCA Chair and UNSW Vice Chancellor and President, Attila Brungs and over 50 speakers from business, governments, investors and innovation agencies.
