Equity Diversity & Inclusion at UNSW Science

UNSW Science aims to provide an equitable place of work and study that will stimulate innovation, productivity and progress. We believe diversity and inclusion are essential to our success, helping to produce robust, credible and pioneering science of global impact and train the next generation of scientists.  

Supported by the efforts of our Science Equity Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Working Group, we're committed to reducing barriers that impede equity, diversity and inclusion via initiatives that will benefit both staff and students. 

Science history trail

The Science History Trail initiative is designed to increase the visibility of diverse scientists. We aim to redefine the traditional representation of a scientist by displaying the images and stories of diverse science role models throughout history.

EDI guidelines

UNSW Science is committed to implementing an inclusive learning environment and has developed several guidelines to ensure that no one is disadvantaged based on their diverse characteristics.

Science EDI Working Group

Our Science EDI Working Group is responsible for facilitating, supporting and creating new initiatives, programs, guidelines and activities. It works alongside UNSW Science students and staff to ensure that everyone has equitable opportunities to succeed, regardless of background.
