Kirby Institute

The Kirby Institute is a world-leading health research institute at UNSW Sydney, that works to eliminate infectious diseases, globally. Their specialisation is in developing health solutions for the most at-risk communities, in order to build a safer, healthier world.

National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC)

NDARC at UNSW Sydney is Australia’s leading research group in the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sector. NDARC produces evidence-based, multidisciplinary research to increase the effectiveness of intervention, treatment, and policy responses to AOD related harm.

Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA)

CHeBA is a world leader in the investigation of healthier brain ageing and better clinical care of age-related brain diseases. Their mission is to conduct innovative research and provide the empirical basis to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias to achieve healthy brain ageing for all individuals.

International Centre for Future Health Systems

The International Centre for Future Health Systems has been established with support from The Ian Potter Foundation. The centre will lead research, policy and advocacy work on health systems reform at local, national and global levels.

Centre for Childhood Cancer Research

CCCR provides major advances in childhood cancer research. Working in clinical partnerships, across an impressive range of important translational research projects, they strive to improve the outcomes for all children with cancer and eliminate their suffering.

Centre for Big Data Research in Health

CBDRH maximises the use of sources of health big data to enhance health and wellbeing for all, undertaking research that spans a broad range of health issues. The centre will tackle any health issue that can be informed through research using large-scale electronic data.

Australian Centre for NanoMedicine (ACN)

ACN is a hub for nanomedicine research in Australia and through a commitment to research, education, knowledge transfer and commercialisation, ACN is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and curing of diseases, especially hard to treat diseases.
