Research programs 

A research degree at UNSW School of Social Sciences will open doors to academic, research and professional roles nationally and internationally. 

We offer both a Masters by Research (MRes) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in each of our research areas: development studies, politics and international relations, social research and policy, social work, and sociology. 

In addition, we also have Professional Doctorate programs available in social work and public policy & governance.
